Madiba Notes circulation

The new Madiba notes will be released next Tuesday the 6th November 2012,confirmed the Governer of the Reserve Bank yesterday,Gill Marcus. The new bank notes with interesting features will be presented to the "old man" personally before they released to the public at large. It goes without saying that we are indeed moving to new heights as the country and contesting the first world type of behaviour and trading. Again "Thumbs up South Africa".

Missing Police Video

The Marikana commission of Inquiry is at a heat hitting investigation, question the police about the missing video scenes of the Uphill shootings in Marikana. The police who were in the Chopper filiming the events happened down did not present the video of the shootings by the police. The First scenes of the video are believed to have more evidence that could encriminate the police and find them guilty of shooting first. More pain is for the families who lost their loved ones at the massacre and they cant wait to see justice being done.

The police were indeed in the wrong, and they shot innocent workersl, who were unarmed and no threat whatsoever towards them but the investigations continue, more drama to unfold.Police were/are guilty and should pay for the pain they have caused to the families of the victims.

Miners vs Employers

Gold Fields miners yesterday were given an ultimatum to return to work before 12 pm and failing to obey this instruction they will have to face dismissal and apparently +- 12000 miners have been retrenched. The employees say they not going anywhere until the mine bosses sign on the dotted line the salary increase of R 18500.00. Now I'm thinking to myself does it make sense to increase salaries from 4000 rands to 18500? Well miners do work under risky conditions but the salary hike of such percentage is just Absurd. The Marikana increase of salaries was just the beggining of great bad things to happen in the mining industry of this country. I believe its about time the Goverment Nationalise our mines, else we'll soon be faced not with just strikers but civil war in our hands, if our leaders dont show good leadership skills.

December Mangaung

Cant wait for the ANC Mangaung elective conference in December. Provinces are busy pushing their nominees up and from where im sitting the Zuma camp together with ANC as a whole will witness something that they never saw before. Suprisingly the ANCYL is supporting Deputy President Kgalema Mothlanthe to stand as the next ruling party's president and i must admitt I thought Tokyo Sexwale would be the favourite for the youth but not to forget the Eastern Cape province will always push in with a very different approach as they always  do in these conferences but i put my money on Tokyo in the meanwhile.

Marikana Inquiry an issue

Families who lost their loved ones in Marikana Massacre are criticizing the Inquiry on how can it proceed with its investigation without consulting with the families first. Pretty well sure now the grieving families think of being sidelined by the authorities and that the police including the goverment would duck the 'bullet' and leave them out in the cold with no answers to the questions most 'widows' have.

Malema " i will kill for Zuma"...Malema " Zuma wants to kill me "

Not so long ago eapelled ANCYL president Julius Malema promised to kill for Zuma when they were campaigning  to put Zuma in Presidency. Now the tables have turned the same Malema is accussing Zuma of wanting to kill him and his 'buddies' ( Friends of the Youth League ). This comes after a series of talks made by JUJU to the striking miners of the Polokwani Lomnin mine, urging them not to back down from their demand of R 12.500 salary increase from R 4000.00 per month. From where I'm sitting it is unreasonable for the miners to ask this much money from the employers as this will bring the company to bankrupcy in the very near future. JUJU's involvement in this issue is nothing but political and publicity stunt to gain points for the upcoming ANC Mangaung conference in December.

COSATU Annual Conference

Congress of South African Trade Unions ( COSATU ), annual conference is on its 3rd day  in Johannesburg not much of the details are available yet but we would love to see and hear what the ANC allies have been up to the past two days and what are they ought to discuss today. The conference is set to end tommorow, Thursday the 20th September, hopefully we will get full report on what was hard hitting the Cadres.

Our Madiba notes

Today, the South African reserve bank is to reveal our bank notes that have Madiba face imprinted on. Just shows how the world's Icon is recognised for the freedom he fought and went to jail for is paying off for the country's citizens despite the diffficult challenges we still face on the ground as the power is centralized and riches are still in the hands of the few.Nevertheless we proud of our new Tata notesthat will be cikrculating around the country very soon.Questions of security are of concern in this case "if there are any fake notes we must be vigilant of?" but the Reserve bank had to ensure for sure that every little detail of security is well taken care of. The US has Benjamin Franklin on their Dollar so its only inevitable that we have Madiba on our Rand. Bigg up South Africa.

Great Read!!!!

Ive just finished reading the book Eight Days in September, The removal of Thabo Mbeki, by Rev. Frank Chikane. I must say it makes a great read. It unfolds all the scandals and escapedes that followed after the Polokwane Conference of the ANC. The unconstitutional removal of Mbeki, Justification of Nicholson's judgement, all revealed in this amazing work of Pastor Chikane. My eyes were wide shut but now i see the light and I know why Mr. Mbeki never bothered to contest against those who were behind his removal just 7 months before his term ends in office.

They had to take him down " Ngoko", because of  his principled works he was doing for S.A and the African continent as a whole. They took him ( Mbeki ) down claiming its a " Recall " of which that was just an excuse for them ( Zuma crew) to get a chance in goverment to statisfy their personal interests.

Its just a matter of time before the 'explosion of the ticking bomb' within the structures of the ANC come into effect,Mangaung Conference later this year will be the start. If Zuma has the country's best in heart, he should not stand for the second term as the president of the ANC and the country.

Zuma to meet Zim. leaders

President Jacob Zuma is to meet with Zimbabwean leaders for peace talks of the ongoing draft of constitution just before the elections next year. " Mr. Mugabe’s ZANU-PF party and opponent Mr. Tsvangirai’s Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) should bridge their differences over parts of the draft constitution.
The main thing that really stands on the way of the progress forward is the constitution. [It] really needs to be embraced by all the parties. It has been embraced by the MDC and the various factions within it, but ZANU-PF has not embraced it because they said there are certain aspects, which they want changed,” said Professor Shadrack Gutto, law expert at the University of South Africa

Mam Angie in hot water

Basic education Minister Angie Motshekga, is to answer for the half year long delivery delay of textbooks in Limpopo. The court has requested quarterly performance reports of all schools in that province. Was mam' Angie negligent or was this the political plot to remove her from her post just few months before the ANC Mangaung conference...guess we have to wait and see.

SAPS to answer for Mdluli's saga

The SAPS is to answer for Mdluli's behaviour during his time in office as Crime Inteligence boss. Mdluli who is now suspended from his position and sentencing still pending in court.

Mdluli in court

Richard Mdluli is to attend Pretoria High Court today,to fight for his reinstatement or a shift to a new post withinin the police ministry.A group known as Freedom Under Law is opposing this, calling upon Nathi Mthethwa minister of police not to consider moving Mdluli to a new post, they want him out of the Police force completely.

Mthethwa suspended Cele and Selebi on charges that are far less serious than Mdluli's,but now he wants to move Mdluli to a new post, thing that causes an uproar and poses questions to Mthethwa's loyalty and favourism.Mdluli, friend to the President...is he going or is he gone?

Taloyor's 50

Charles Taylor, the former president of Liberia has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for war crimes commited in Sierra Lione during the Civil war in the '90s.
" Former Liberian president Charles Taylor is the first former head of state to be convicted by an international tribunal since the Nuremberg trials at the end of World War II. He was sentenced by the international criminal court at the Hague. " (http://bostonglobe.com/news/world/2012/05/30/charles-taylor-sentenced-years/YGcCFguXhULDTxeTWJkpXN/story.html

I have never seen anyone other than the black leaders being convicted and sentenced in this court, which makes me wonder about the type of precautions and protocols that are followed to charge Leaders of such crimes....

Mdluli saga

Suspended Mdluli is under investigation for allegedly abusing state resources. This was brought forward by Tokyo Sexwale the Minister of Human settlement to the Public protector Thuli Madonsela,to investigate the matter. Mdluli brought the dark cloud onto himself by alerting president Zuma of the plot by some members of the ANC to outvote the president at the Mangaung Conference.

Why not Prositute Mdluli?

WHY the Advocate Mdluli is not yet standing trial for the allegations he's facing....considering that he is friends of the President an the one who gave Zuma heads up when he was being investigated by the Scorpions,it is quite clear to me that the Presidency is tempering with the investigation against Mdluli.

Emotional Advocate

The ANC advocate who was suppose to be the rock for the ANC during the Spear of the Nation Hearing in court yesterday could not bear with the judges' questions and decided to go for the Breakdown route ( cried )! leading to the postponement of the hearing....How can a proffessional of his calibre, hired by the big boys of the country allow his Emotions to get the better side of him. Will the ANC still have faith in him to win the trial for them? I personally would not let him continue representing me or my party for that matter, what he showed there was a sign of weakness.

Sarkozy laughs off Gaddafi election-fund claim

Paris
French President Nicolas Sarkozy has dismissed a report that deposed Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi had sought to fund his 2007 campaign as a ploy by Socialist opponents to distract attention from the public reappearance of disgraced IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
A week ahead of Sunday’s decisive second-round presidential vote, investigative website Mediapart said it had uncovered a document from Libya’s former secret services showing that Gaddafi’s government had decided to finance Sarkozy’s run at the presidency when he was interior minister.
Sarkozy, whose government played a key role in the demise of Gaddafi, has repeatedly denied receiving any money from the former Libyan leader, who was captured and killed by fighters from the Libyan National Liberation Army last year.
Sarkozy said the Socialists were using the report as an attempt to distract attention from the reappearance of Strauss-Kahn, who had been the runaway favourite for the party’s presidential ticket before he was arrested last May on charges of sexually abusing a New York hotel maid.
In an interview published by London’s Guardian newspaper on Friday, Strauss-Kahn said operatives linked to Sarkozy had torpedoed his presidential bid by ensuring his sexual encounter with the maid was made public.
“You see that this is an attempt to create a distraction after the return to public life of Strauss-Kahn,” Sarkozy told Le Parisien-Dimanche newspaper. “They don’t want anyone to remember they wanted to make him the next president of the French republic.”
The Socialists’ candidate, Francois Hollande, leads Sarkozy in opinion polls by around 10 percentage points ahead of the second-round vote.
Mediapart, staffed by a number of veteran French newspaper and news agency journalists, said it had a 2006 document signed by Gaddafi’s former intelligence chief, Moussa Koussa, which stated that his government would pay e50 million (R511m) for Sarkozy’s campaign.
Later yesterday, in an interview on Canal+ television, Sarkozy said the document was a fake.
“It’s a disgrace. It’s a fabrication,” he said. “Mediapart is a habitual liar… It is an office in the service of the Left… Who led the coalition to topple Gaddafi? It was France! I was perhaps the leader. Do you think that if Gaddafi had anything on me I would have tried to oust him?”
Prime Minister Francois Fillon said the document was “false, or at least impossible to verify, which comes from a dictatorship which France helped to topple”.
“It is a calumny, an absurdity,” he told Europe 1 radio, adding that it was ridiculous to talk of e50m to finance a campaign that cost e20m and for which accounts were publicly available.
The Mediapart website, which gained prominence in 2010 when it broke news of a major political funding scandal around Sarkozy’s UMP party and L’Oréal heiress Liliane Bettencourt, called for an official investigation.
Having earlier denied it, Sarkozy acknowledged on Wednesday that his government had considered co-operation with Libya in civil nuclear energy. He raised eyebrows when he invited Gaddafi to Paris in 2007. – letting him pitch his Bedouin-style tent by the Élysée Palace.

SEOUL: US President Barack Obama vowed yesterday to pursue further nuclear arms cuts with Russia, saying the US has more warheads than necessary, and issued stern warnings to North Korea and Iran in their nuclear stand-offs with the West.
Speaking ahead of a global nuclear security summit in South Korea’s capital, Obama held out the prospect of new reductions in the US arsenal as he sought to rally world leaders for additional concrete steps against the threat of nuclear terrorism.
“We can already say with confidence that we have more nuclear weapons than we need,” Obama told students at Hankuk University.
He pledged a new arms-control push with incoming Russian president Vladimir Putin when they meet in May. But any further reductions would face stiff election-year opposition from Republicans in Congress, who already accuse him of weakening America’s nuclear deterrent.
Obama laid out his latest strategy against the backdrop of continued nuclear defiance from North Korea and Iran, twin challenges that have clouded his overall nuclear agenda and the summit in Seoul.
He set expectations high in a 2009 speech in Prague when he declared it was time to seek a world without nuclear weapons. He acknowledged at the time it was a long-term goal, but his high-flown oratory helped him to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
In Seoul, Obama made clear that he was committed to that notion, saying “those who deride our vision, who say that ours is an impossible goal that will be forever out of reach”, were wrong.
Though Obama was vague on exactly how such a vision would be achieved, he voiced confidence that the Us and Russia, which reached a landmark arms-control treaty in 2010, “can continue to make progress and reduce our nuclear stockpiles”.

With US officials privately expressing concern about China’s opaqueness over its growing nuclear weapons programme, Obama said he had urged the rising Asian power “to join us in a dialogue on nuclear issues, and that offer remains open”.
Obama also used his speech to call on North Korea, which plans a long-range rocket launch next month, to curb its nuclear ambitions or face further international isolation.

“And know this – there will be no more rewards for provocations. Those days are over. This is the choice before you,” he said, directing his comments at North Korea’s leadership.

Earlier yesterday, Obama accused Iran of having taken the “path of denial, deceit and deception” in the past over its nuclear programme, but said there was still time for a diplomatic solution and that Tehran had to act with a sense of urgency. – Reuters
